In 1964, Spanish Fort saw the opening of the community's first school, Spanish Fort Elementary School, located at 30900 State Highway 225.
As the City's population grew, Rockwell Elementary School, located at 10183 U.S. Highway 31, was constructed and opened in 1997.

Spanish Fort Middle School
Spanish Fort Middle School opened its doors to students the fall of 2008. The school hosts students in grades 6 – 8 within a strategically located facility, convenient to serve Spanish Fort’s growing and developing community. Spanish Fort High School
In the fall of 2005, Spanish Spanish Fort High School opened its doors and quickly became the home of the proud Spanish Fort Toros. Today, Spanish Fort High School’s campus features a beautifully-designed facility which reflects the mission style of Spanish architecture. The school is located on a scenic hillside, surrounded by a multi-field sports complex which captures the spirit of student body and the community. Spanish Fort quarterback, Tyler Johnston, was named Mr. Football by the
Alabama Sports Writers Association.
In addition, Tyler Johnston was named 2015 Coastal Player of the Year, Jacob Johnson made the 2015 All-Coastal First Team's Offense and Justin Thomas, Thomas Johnston, Tre Threat and Javon Brown were named to the 2015 All-Coastal First Team's Defense. Stephan Holcomb was named to the 2015 All-Coastal Second Team's Defense. Congratulations to the Toros team and Thank You for another exciting football season!
