City Parks

The City of Spanish Fort made a large investment in the Parks and Recreation Facilities in our City. Both Spirit Park and Kid's Park were  built on City property to enhance Spanish Fort's recreational outlets. A lease agreement with Baldwin County Board of Education has enabled our City to expand our facilities which are available for public use.

Kid's Park is a "Fort" built by volunteers, offering hours of entertainment for the children in our community. The Kid's Park is available for hosting parties.

Spirit Park is the newest park constructed in the City and includes eight (8) lighted tennis courts, three (3) ball fields, a walking trail and a concession stand which is open while baseball games are being played. Spirit Park facility may not be leased out to organizations which are not associated with the City of Spanish Fort. Only Pepsi products are allowed at Spirit Park.

The City of Spanish Fort and Baldwin County Board of Education have an agreement which allows the public use of baseball fields at Spanish Fort Elementary School and the track and soccer facility at Spanish Fort High School.

The City of Spanish Fort has "teamed up" with the Spanish Fort Sports Association to provide opportunities for children and adults alike to participate in area sports. The City provides the "bricks and mortar", while the Spanish Fort Sports Association provides the organization and management for team sports in our City. Working together, it is our desire to provide a second-to-none sports venue for a top-notch sports program, enriching the lives of Spanish Fort families.

The Spanish Fort Sports Association offers various organized sports programs for children including football, cheerleading, baseball and softball.

The Spanish Fort Community Center, now under construction, will house a Senior Citizens' Center which will also include recreational facilities.
