The Fort is a fun, safe place where kids can use their imaginations and play for hours on end. Planning for the project was facilitated by a City program, “Together Let’s Build the Fort”. Constructed on City-owned property located behind City Hall on Ember Lane and completed in 2002, this wonderful facility became a reality thanks to the involvement, dedication and volunteer labor of the Spanish Fort community and the generous funding from many contributors, both private and corporate.
Amenities at The Fort include:
• Expanded playground facility with separate section for children under 5 years
• Picnic tables
• Covered pavilion – may be reserved for private parties
• Restroom facilities
• Ample parking adjacent to the park
Rules and Regulations for Parties at The Fort
All reservations for The Fort’s pavilion are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. Call the City at 251-626-4884 or visit Spanish Fort City Hall, 7581 Spanish Fort Boulevard, during normal business hours.
The following booking times allow for maximum use of the pavilion with a 30-minute period between reservations for clean up and set up:
March through October

9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
November through February
(Central Standard Time)
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
A $25.00 fee is required for a 2-hour reservation and use of the pavilion. Consecutive reservations may be booked for pavilion use with an additional fee of $25.00 per each additional 2-hour period. (i.e., fee for four hours would be $50.00.) Note: Any part of another hour constitutes an additional two hours of usage.
Reservation fee(s) must be paid in full and received at Spanish Fort City Hall within 3-business days of booking the reservation. If fee(s) is not received within allotted time, your reservation time may be forfeited and reserved by another party with their full and timely payment of fee.
Reservation fee is payable by cash or check, payable to the City of Spanish Fort
, and may be delivered in person. Upon receipt of payment, you will be given a receipt of payment which indicates the date and time of your pavilion reservation. Please have this receipt with you at the time of your party in the event that you should need to show proof of having a reservation for use of the pavilion.
Reservation fees will be refunded only under the following circumstances:
1. Inclement weather the day of the scheduled pavilion reservation; or
2. Cancellation of pavilion reservation at least 3-business days prior to reservation date.
A refund request must be submitted with name, mailing address and telephone number in order to receive a refund check by mail. Please allow 2-weeks for processing of refund.
Air-inflated jumping features are allowed for parties booked at The Fort. A fee of $10.00 per jumping feature will be charged for each 2-hour party period to cover the cost of electricity. (i.e., one feature for one party period would be charged $10.00; two features for two party periods would be charged $40.00.)
City rules and regulations prohibit the use of any and all types of motorized vehicles on park property at The Fort. Any features which include and/or require the use of water are strictly prohibited at The Fort under any circumstances. The owner or provider of any inflatable feature used at The Fort agrees to assume all liability for any injuries or damages which may result from the use of the inflatable feature.
Set-up and clean-up is to be done during your reserved time and within the 30-minute periods allotted before and after reservation times. Clean-up is the responsibility of the reserving party and includes the removal of all decorations, as well as the collection and placement of all trash in designated areas.
PARK RULES ARE POSTED AT THE PARK AND ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED.
