SPANISH FORT PUBLIC LIBRARY
The mission of the Spanish Fort Public Library (SFPL) is to enrich lives by fostering lifelong learning and working to ensure that every member of the community has equal access to a vast array of information, experiences, and ideas.
The Spanish Fort Public Library opened in October of 2015, as the first operating library for the city of Spanish Fort, Alabama. Since opening day, the library has worked vigorously to establish and grow a core collection of physical and electronic materials, such as ebooks and audiobooks. SFPL is active and regularly hosts a wealth of unique programs that help add to the quality of life for our Spanish Fort patrons, as well as library cardholders across Baldwin County. Please visit the library website for additional information on library programs and events.
The Spanish Fort Public Library is located inside the main entrance of the Spanish Fort Community Center. The library is part of the Baldwin County Library Cooperative (BCLC), which allows SFPL cardholders to share physical materials across all fourteen libraries within Baldwin County. If you have an active library card from any of the participating libraries across Baldwin County, you may use that card to check out materials at SFPL. If you need a library card please visit www.baldwincat.org to register for a library card. To pick up your new card please bring proof of residency to the Spanish Fort Public Library within seven days of registration.
We welcome your comments, suggestions, and ideas. Please reach out to Shanavia Reed, Library Director, with any library-related questions at librarian@cityofspanishfort.com or by phoning the library main number at 251-410-READ (7323).
We look forward to seeing you at the Spanish Fort Public Library!
