A CITY OF SPIRIT
Spanish Fort, “A City of Spirit”, is a vibrant, progressive, and friendly community in which to live and raise a family and to establish and grow a business. Located on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay, you won't have to go far to find countless opportunities for taking in the beauty of our area while fishing, boating, hunting, enjoying our parks and recreational facilities, catching a spectacular sunset of the bay, dining out on fresh local seafood, or enjoying an extraordinary shopping experience. We hope that our welcoming spirit provides visitors with many reasons to visit our city, and that they will return again and again.
HISTORIC PAST, BRIGHT FUTURE THROUGH SMART GROWTH
While having a great appreciation for the City's historical past, Spanish Fort is highly focused on its future. We have set high goals for conscientious growth, while preserving the character of our city and maintaining the higher standards of education in our schools that our residents have come to enjoy and expect. Spanish Fort has been blessed by the continued development of new neighborhoods and retail shopping, as well as substantial regional growth, due largely to new world-class industries and businesses choosing to locate in the area. We are excited that we now occupy the much-anticipated Spanish Fort Community Center. This beautiful facility includes the state-of-the-art, full-service Spanish Fort Public Library, the Spanish Fort Senior Center, classroom and computer lab space, and a multi-purpose room for meetings and events. City Hall offices for the City's Administrative and Building Departments are also located within the Community Center. Through careful planning and consideration by the City Council, Planning Commission and the input of its citizens, Spanish Fort hopes to retain its small-town atmosphere well into the years ahead.
EMPHASIS ON EDUCATION
The Spanish Fort community places great emphasis on supporting our schools, where students succeed both academically and athletically. Students graduate from Spanish Fort schools with the knowledge and tools needed to achieve and advance in life, thanks to great teachers, parents, local businesses, and organizations who have faithfully come together to benefit our schools and the advancement of education.
By keeping our eyes on the future, we will continue to work diligently to keep Spanish Fort a wonderful place to live, work, and play.
